Houston Law Firm Marks Growth, Generational Change in Leadership With Rebrand

Stephenson Fournier selects new managing partner, promotes associate to partner

HOUSTON (May 6, 2015) – Houston-area law firm Stephenson Fournier has selected Juli Fournier as its new managing partner, accompanying a move to rebrand the well-established practice. The firm, previously known as Stephenson Snokhous & Fournier, also selected Chris Hanno as its newest partner.

The announcement comes on the cusp of the firm’s 25 th anniversary and marks a generational transition for Stephenson Fournier, leveraging its foundation of expertise in business transactional law to serve the needs of closely held business owners as they navigate shifting legal landscapes. Stephenson Fournier‘s practice areas cover a spectrum of legal needs for clients from well-capitalized startups to established enterprises, to whom the firm offers counsel in mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate transactions, business contracts, capital formation, wills, trusts and probate.

“As the business climate and needs of our clients evolve, we are constantly focused on forward-looking decisions to ensure we provide them with agile, responsive legal representation,” said Jim Stephenson, founding partner at Stephenson Fournier. “Juli Fournier and I have been practicing together for close to 25 years, and she exemplifies our firm’s proven combination of sophisticated legal knowledge and common sense. She is a terrific choice to oversee the next phase of the firm’s evolution, and I look forward to supporting her in that.”

Fournier’s wide-ranging practice includes representation of companies and investors in transactions, securities, financings and general business law matters. She assists clients in evaluating potential deals and developing strategies for success, providing counsel in both the legal and business aspects of transactions.

Hanno has been practicing with the firm since graduating from South Texas College of Law, magna cum laude, in 2010. He offers solutions to commercial real estate clients, representing them in buying, leasing, financing, and developing retail, multifamily and office properties, as well as structuring and restructuring businesses including corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships.

Stephenson will continue practicing as a senior partner in the firm, focused on advising companies and investors as they expand to new markets and linking stakeholders in successful real estate, manufacturing, and oil and gas deals. Together, Fournier, Hanno, Stephenson, and the other attorneys at the firm offer responsive legal counsel to clients who have come to trust their comprehensive deal-based knowledge and to rely on their ability to demystify complex transactions.

“Our closely held business clients look to us to help make their lives simpler in a complex business world, and to structure, negotiate and document their legal projects,” Fournier said. “Stephenson Fournier has the experience of having helped clients craft strategies for success in a wide variety of business sectors. We’re proud to bring our solid track record of outstanding service, responsiveness and high-quality legal work to benefit business owners and leaders.”
